Change can feel good when...

Growing up, my younger sister and I loved to switch bedrooms.

We’d drag all our clothes, desk supplies, nick-knacks and our teen idol posters into our ‘new room’. Oh, and in case you’re curious, Rob Lowe, John Stamos, and Michael Jackson were my favorite teen idol posters back in the 1980’s.

Anyway....sometimes my sister and I were in the mood to have yet another change. So we’d move both of our beds into one room, then have our desks in the other room. In this arrangement, we'd both sleep in one room and then study in the other room. Kinda cool…. until we were ready to have more privacy and our own individual room again.

Change. Change can feel good... especially when it’s in your control.

When you take time to reflect, new ideas sprout up that can spark a change in how you do things.

This year, there's been a stirring in my heart for a change in my business. After deep reflection, these are some changes I've made:

  • a new logo designed (A BIG thank you to my friend, Gina who created it!)

  • a change in brand colors

  • a new website (a BIG thank you to my virtual assistant, Kate)

  • an expansion of WHO & HOW I serve in my business

The new logo was inspired by having new brand colors of a calming periwinkle blue and a golden yellow to convey optimism. The combination of the colors is balanced, which is an outcome my clients are seeking. The flower is delicate yet strong - as it is growing in a golden rich soil.

The new website is currently devoted to the caregivers whom I’ve been serving for last 5 years. I plan on making some changes to the website to also include speaking to my clients who are over-givers. And yes, that includes many family caregivers. Tender-hearted people who give and give, but often to the point of exhaustion.

What I noticed during my time of reflection, most of my clients want to focus on personal development like boundaries, instead of wanting to focus on the caregiving in coaching sessions.

These clients who want to work on boundaries- are very often health care professionals who 'over-give' a lot in their job too.

They are exhausted from over-giving both personally & professionally. They want support to get their life back...and not have it slip away.

My new & expanded niche: I help over-givers uproot people pleasing, stop automatic yeses and set loving boundaries – without guilt.

Areas clients want to receive help are:

  • to recognize your own worthiness of time for YOU

  • to prevent over-commitments & resentment

  • to stop trying to please everyone

  • to not take things personally

  • to manage chronic stress

  • to set loving boundaries
