Let’s Nourish YOU!
Tomorrow is the first day of spring!
The season of fresh starts, new beginnings, and a gentle reminder from nature that renewal is possible — even for caregivers like you.
Many years ago, when I lived in Virginia, I remember walking outside one early spring morning after what felt like the longest winter.
The air was crisp,
the trees still bare,
but there it was—a single pink flower pushing through the frozen ground.
It didn’t wait for the perfect moment, it just grew.
And it made me think... how often do we tell ourselves we’ll focus on our own needs later, when things slow down?
But what if we nourished ourselves now, in small ways, just like that resilient flower?
This week, let’s welcome spring by intentionally giving yourself a little nourishment. Not just the typical “self-care” advice, but something fresh and energizing. Here are three easy and unexpected ways to start:
🌼 The 3-Sentence Journal Trick – Instead of feeling overwhelmed by a long journal session, try this: Each morning write one sentence about how you feel, one about what
you need, and one thing you’re grateful for. This tiny habit shifts your mindset and gives you clarity in under a minute.
🌼 Micro-Adventures at Home – Step outside of your usual routine, even for five minutes. Try eating breakfast on the porch, dancing to one song in your kitchen, or reading empowering affirmations aloud. Small changes break up the monotony and remind your brain (and soul) that life still holds little surprises.
🌼 A 10-Second Sensory Reset – When stress hits, pause and activate your senses. Open a bottle of citrus or lavender oil & inhale deeply, listen to your favorite calming sound, or drink a sip of tea slowly, focusing on the warmth. It’s a mini refresh button you can press anytime, anywhere.
Why not take this as a sign to give yourself a little something back?
You’re always pouring into others—this is a chance to receive.
Sending you warmth and renewal!
