Quiet moments this holiday

Every year, the holiday season seems to arrive faster than I feel ready for.

This year is no exception.

Even as I’m doing my best to simplify my life, I still wake up feeling behind - especially in December.

Lately, I’ve been intentionally countering that sense of frenzy with small moments of peace.

Because when I really think about it, the most meaningful parts of December are rarely the things that keep me busy…
they’re the quiet moments:

  • sharing a heartfelt conversation with someone I love

  • treasuring old Christmas memories through photos

  • sipping a warm cup of tea from my favorite mug

  • lighting a candle that captures the season

Here's my newest "Christmas Tree" scented candle that permeates my house making it feel fresh & festive.

These quiet moments gently shift how we feel... even while caring for others and navigating a busy holiday season.

So here’s your gentle invitation:
carve out one quiet moment just for you.

Your peace adds meaning to the season — not stress. 💛

P.S. Speaking of quiet moments, there is a Dementia-Friendly Christmas Eve Service offered at First United Methodist Church of Winter Park on December 24th 11:00-11:30am.

Thank you ADRC for sharing this resource!

In restful silence, the present moment wraps you in kindness.
