5 Simple Steps to Lighten Your Load

When someone feels overwhelmed, I've learned to ask "Is there something you can let go of?"

I ask because I know that when you 'let go' of a few things in your life, it creates a positive shift in your mood & productivity.

Some of the things you can let go of are in your environment.

A great place to start is to 'let go' of a few things in your closet, desk or pantry. And I promise, I get it. You have a lot of responsibilities that go way beyond an overloaded pantry. You may even have your care partners belongings to contend with too.

This is especially why I want you to know that results show that cleaning clutter from your environment will help you feel more in control and better organized in your everyday life.

Decluttering is one of the quickest ways to lighten your load and lessen your burdens today.

5 Simple Steps to Lighten Your Load

1. Set the timer for 10-20 minutes. Dance, sing, or play upbeat music.

2. Start small by choosing one cabinet or one closet at a time.

3. Make two piles: one for donations and another for garbage

4. Ask yourself with each item, do I need to hold on to this or can I let it go?

5.Once the timer goes off, move the

garbage pile to the garbage and pack the donations in a box for your trunk.

*Repeat as often as you'd like.

You'll Feel the Benefits Right Away

Once you take the first small step, it's likely you won't want to stop.

As you declutter - you'll feel lighter.

And as you feel lighter - you'll want to keep decluttering.

The key is to get started. It's the hardest part.
