When a label quietly holds you back

In my senior yearbook, I was voted Shyest Senior.

At first, I didn’t think much of it.

Part of me was even amused that enough people knew me to vote for me.

But almost without realizing it, “shy” started to stick.

It became a label I carried - and a quiet explanation I used for why I opted out of certain things.

Then the very next year, I went to college.

No one there knew I was “shy.”

Without that label following me, I chose to step outside my comfort zone - little by little - and discovering parts of myself my younger self hadn’t yet met.

Looking back, I didn’t become a different person.

I simply loosened my grip on an identity that no longer served me.

That’s a big part of the work I do now as a coach.

I help people gently reshape identities that no longer serve them.

One of the most powerful identity shifts I help clients make is this:
You can be a compassionate, caring person and  say no.

Saying no doesn’t make you selfish.
It helps you show up with more honesty, energy, and steadiness.

If this resonates, you can learn more about How to Say No Reset here.

It’s currently available for $47. The price will increase to $97 on February 15.

If this feels like the right next step for you, I'd love to support you
